The standard this site is built to, what that means in practice, and what to do if a page is getting in your way.

What we aim for
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard we design and build against. We have not had an independent audit, so we describe this as what we work to rather than as a certification.

What that means in practice
Text and background colours on this site are measured for contrast rather than picked by eye — body text sits at 15.8:1 against the page, well past the 4.5:1 the guidelines ask for. Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline. Images carry alt text. Headings are in order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure. Animation is switched off automatically for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.

Where we know there are limits
The map in the footer is a Google Maps embed and we do not control what it exposes to assistive technology. The same address, phone number and coverage area it shows are written out in text directly beside it, so nothing is available only inside the map.
